It analyzes how the film uses narrative, character dynamics, and mise-en-scène to evoke primal anxieties about intimacy, trust, and violence. Additionally, the paper explores how the availability of a full Vietnamese subtitle (“Vietsub”) version influences the cross-cultural interpretation of fear, making the film’s emotional landscape accessible to Vietnamese-speaking audiences.
